Cool E36 Denso A/C compressor oil

I plan to rebuild the R134 Denso A/C Compressor in my E36. The compressor requires ND-Oil 8. What is ND-Oil 8? How does this compare to PAG oils? I want to make sure that I am using the same oil that it currently in the system.

Note that many of the parts required for a complete rebuild aren't available to the general public. If you've never had a compressor apart, they are complex. Getting parts (other than valve plates, gaskets & clutches) is very difficult. Tolerances are critical & the dimensions are not typically available unless you're an OEM certified rebuilder.
