1991 325iC no start
Hi,
New car to me.... Car ran great for a month until this morning. Turn the ignition, and it has full electrical response, but instead of cranking, there is one loud "thunk" under the hood and it does not try to crank any further. Ideas? I'm new to BMWs... My Bentleys shop manual is on order but not here yet! lol thanks kevin |

I would start with the battery. No matter how sure you are that it is good, try a jump start.
They next thing I would check is the starter. Get under an listen while it tries to star and see if the sound is from the starter. The clunk could be solenoid throwing out the starter rod but after that it isn't spinning.
