Removing starter.....

How difficult is it to remove your starter on a 318is, i've heard and I've seen its in a tight place, also heard its easier with two people.......

some early starters used nuts and bolts instead of bolts and a threaded housing. Nuts and bolts are easier with 2 because on has to hold the nut.

It is a tight place and the bolts are hard to get to and have a lot of torque and galling. Spray them with PB Blaster, get a lot of socket extensions (18" worth) and a 18" breaker bar.
