Injector question

I know there are lots of posts on injectors, but I haven't found any that address this question.
Is there any problem with playing mix and match with injectors?? I ask this because I just pulled the fuel rail and injectors from my daughters 84 325e and because cylinders 4,5&6 were not firing. I discovered the tops of the injectors are caked with rust and grit. I have some donor injectors from a 87 325i but they are a blue and have a different looking pintle (sort of has fins on it's sides).
Can I just replace 4,5&6 with these or should I try to clean out the plugged up original injectors? And what's the best way to do this. The pelican Tech article recommends using brake cleaner and blowing it out with compressed air. Is this best and do I blow from the Pintle end throught the orifice or from the top???
I know I sound clueless, and with good reason. I am on this subject.

I need your help.

Greg

I don't think that it is wise to mix and match. I would suggest that you either get the originals ultrasonically cleaned and then rebuilt or replacing all 6 with rebuilt ones.

I had http://www.cruzinperformance.com service my injectors. I liked the guy and he did good work. Ask him about mixing. Also he may have refurb's for sale so you might just send them all to him and let him get you a compete good set.
