Fuel Line Size 1988 325I
Still working on that 1988 325I Convertible on the Big Island. Having tons of fun.
A simple problem has me stalled: I'm replacing all the fuel lines...(lots of leaks)...and am having trouble locating the right size high pressure lines here. Not a lot of selection when it comes to auto parts, specially "fancy" cars like BMW! 3/8 is too big and 1/4 is too small...Does anyone know what size the fuel lines are? Must be metric. They all look the same size. The darn original lines don't have the size stamped on them...and the parts counter guys simply scratch their heads. Thanks! |

metric size id. a good import supplier would have high pressure fi hose. new fuel line hose clamps would be in order as well. these are usually solid band, not like the small hose clamps that have the slots in them. the hose is usually sold by the foot, but sometimes there are prepackaged hose. just make sure it's high pressure rated.

Fuel line size
5/16 line seems to work just dandy. No BMW line here on the Big island.
