HELP!! E30 speedo sensor?!?

Well, I haven't had this problem until just now, though it may be because it is colder that a witch's teet outside (0 degrees).

I dropped my daughter off at daycare this morning, and the speedo worked fine. I hopped in the car about 20 minutes ago, and the speedo doesn't work?

Where is the sender for the speedo located?

Thanks,
Nick

The sender is located on the back side of the differential (toward the trunk).

Thanks!
Sure enough, one of the wires broke as soon as I pulled the connector
off the sending unit Spliced the wire and all is great.
