Mass air flow sensor

Does the stock air flow sensor need to be replaced after so long, when at a cold start engine has an ascend then descend idle, until after revs and 5-10 minutes of running, how can I correct this??

A hunting idle is typically a vacuum leak after the air flow sensor. Carefully look at all rubber parts and hoses. I'd be very surprised if it was in fact the air flow sensor. gl.
