95 318i check engine light code 1222

Hi all- i have a 95 318i. Was having hesitation problems and check engine light was coming on. Was receiving a 1221, so I replaced plugs/wires/coil/02 sensor (was due for em' anyway). Now im getting a 1222 code, car still running sluggish and check engine light still coming on every once in a while. The book says look for intake/air leaks- which i did- & found nothing. Idle is good, but when youre driving and step on the gas, she becomes sluggish and fuel economy is horrible.

Anyone ever run into this before?
