e36 97 Windows/sunroof not working

Hello from the UK!

I have a 1997 316i automatic saloon with electric front windows and sunroof (manual rear windows), the electric windows and sunroof do not work. The central locking works fine.
I have searched this forum hard before posting.
My car does not have a comfort relay, under the steering wheel or behind the glovebox.
The wire running into and through the boot/trunk are fine.

Any help with this would be excellent.

Many thanks

Andrew

Did you check the circuit breaker? its a black rectangular button under the steering wheel on my 93. It will pop out sometimes, and the windows and power roof don't get power.

ok my windows are controlled by the body electronic control module (ZKE IV). I have just bought another 316i and swapped the known working ZKE over and still no windows or sunroof.
I had a fuel pump problem when Ist got the car, someone had used a audio amp power cable to supply 12v to the pump under the seat. I rewired it back to standard wiring and the pump was dead, so I wired it using the exist bmw loom, just changed a few wires at the fuse box end and used the factory bmw relay.
The car also has parts of a factory alarm system semi installed, under further inspection I found 2 thick wires(A and B) had been spliced and one thin wire (C)had been cut, i could not find the other end of this wire! anyone know what these wires are?

The wire that has been cut is on the yellow plug going into my ZKE plug number X13253 YELLOW 26 PIN, pin 17 has been cut. PIN 17 is refered to as INPUT DATA SIGNAL, ANTI THEFT SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE (ALPINE)
