Fault Code PO446 ???
 

98 BMW 328i

Below is what I have... What would be the most likely thing wrong that I need to replace or check??? I think it may be running a little rich also...


The PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for the vent control in the evaporative emission control system.

Definition
EVAP purge/vent solenoid circuit condition

Probable Causes
1. Purge or vent solenoid defective
2. Check connector and wiring
3. Fuel saturated vapor canister
4. Failed EVAP vent solenoid

I suggest reseting and see if it comes back.

If it does check for leaks in the evap system, make sure the gas cap is on and in good condition. Check the wiring and connections then replace the solenoid. No guarantees thats just what I would do.
