What weight trans and diff fluid shound I use in my 87 e30?

Amsoil.com has a good and usually very accurate lookup for lubes and such.

Bentley says manual trans is 1.32 qt SAE 80 non-hypoid GL4.

diff is 1.9 qt SAE 90 GL5

I would (and do) use Redline -- 75W140 in the rear end and MT90 in the trans (or MTL, a click lighter, if you are in coolish country and not the furnace that is California's central valley).
