performance chip??
 
where do i find the ecu code i need to get the right performance chip for my 93 e36m50 325is? and how do i install it and do they actually work? anybody know

On E30's the ECU is behind the glove box - just pop it down and look up - the ECU is hard to miss. There should be a sticker visible to you without the need to disconnect it. That should tell you all you need know.

E36 The ECM is in the engine compartment, behind a cover in the passenger side firewall.
I have a chip in mine, and it does make a difference. It comes with instructions.
