What speedo wire for 18 button OBC upgrade?

Installed OBC in 1997 328i convertible, all works but mph. There is no wht/gry wire in inst. cluster wiring or any wires in neither pin 10 spots. I've tried other wires that look like possibilities from the schematics, but still nothing. I have mitchell 5 for schematics. Any good ideas would be appreciated.
