Oil Lamp Reset
I have an '86 325e. Just changed the oil and read in your "101 Performance Projects" that the oil lamp need to be reset and that there was an easy way using a simple wire set across some pins and to go online for more info. Couldn't find the info online so was wondering if you could tell me how to perform this "simple trick."
Thanks bob |

There is a way to reset the oil light using a jumper, but if you accidentally touch the wrong pins, you could inflict quite a bit of damage to your electrical system. I use a cheap ($40) reset tool and am happy with it. If you would still like to take a chance and use a jumper wire, let me know; I have some info on that somewhere.

This is what I did.
I just followed the instructions here. Pretty simple, just be sure you connect the right pins.
