i have recently put my '86 325 back in service, put on new timing belt and water pump, and tensioner, new battery, plugs etc after 15 years in storage. everything working good with the exception of the wipers and windows, both seem to operate slower than they did before storage. both speeds work on wipers, just slower. wondering if there is something simple that could be causing me problems. any suggestions would be much appreciated. thanks, john

Check your voltage at the wiper motor while running.
If you have voltage drop, keep going backwards in the circuit, (ie; wiper relay, fuse, switch) look for a component that has 12 volts on line side, and a lower value on the load side. If you find it you have your culpret. If you find a component that has a higher value than the motor on both sides, the problem is somewhere ahead of that component in the circuit.
