BMW Roundel Wiper Arms

Is there a trick to removing the wiper arms on a E36 BMW 318is? I removed the bolt but not sure if a special tool is required to get the wiper arms off the shaft.

No tricks here. The wiper bolt is conical, therefore the tighter the nut is, the tighter the wiper arm will be. Just work it side to side and it should come off. In case it got rusted on, you may need to spray it with lubricant and let it penetrate.
