e36 18 key obc / speedometer signal?
 

I have been installing the 18 key obc on the e36. it seems to be working, check control gives a few faults etc. Only problem is that the speed related functions (avg speed/consumption) dont work.

What should be coming out of the instrument cluster speedometer signal when driving or during the cluster test?? blue connector x17, pin 10 is speed right?

The instrument cluster is a bit flaky, so that may be the problem.

Maybe it needs coding at bmw?? I used to have the 8 key obc, most of the instructions on the net are for 11 to 18 key obc??
