Brake light issue

Hope someone can help. Recently found out my brake lights arent working. Looked around and found it might be the brake light switch. Ordered the part from PP and installed it (part#61318360420 for my 91 318i). It took a lot of work to get the plug part undone from the old one, but on the new switch it just wouldnt snug tight. And my lights still dont work. I even tried the fuse, though I knew this wasnt the case. I adjusted the plunger as suggested and still nothing.

Anyway, the female adaptor that plugs into the 2 prong stop light switch pretty much just crumbled in my hand. So im not sure what the part number is for this or if I can even replace it. Is there a part for this? I know it was going in the right way due to the odd shape of plug and how the port on the switch matched.

Any ideas on how to fix this? realoem.com didnt show this plug. If a part like this is unavailable, can I jury rig the 2 wires onto the prongs in the switch? Dont want to do this, but I dont like driving without brakelights.

Got a new switch and taped it on with electrical tape. Worked like a charm
