question about cams and crank
ok heres the deal, i have a 96 328i that im pullin the motor out of next week and doin a 5speed swap. Im gona take the head and block to get port and polished and then i was looking for a few somehwat engine mods that i can do. so the question is can i take cams and a crank from a s52 m3 motor and put it in my m52 motor direct bolt on or do i need to do some modifications to get it to work and will i see any real power gains with the set?

I don't have a clue, but I'm curios. Hope you don't think this is a dumb question. Do you have the whole m motor? Why not have it ported and polished?
And I am definatly interested in the outcome of whatever you end up doing. I have been looking for an s50 m motor for a while now.
