BMW Roundel 93-325i HFM/MAF question

Hello;
A couple of weeks ago I cleaned my intake sys/throttle body and instantly got a 1215 code for mass air. I replaced the MAF and everything seems to be working fine again. Thing is; I ended up with 3 (used)MAFs. One of which ended up being brand new still in the Bosch box, when I opened the box I was very pleased to find out it was the Euro HFM with the wire filament. Now since this MAF is significantly larger than the other OE ones I decided to do some research and found out that it was a very popular upgrade for the M50 and S50 engines.
(mine=M50-TU)
My question is:
What are the other modifications needed to get the full beni's of this mod? I have read that some say that I must upgrade the injectors to the pink top 21#ers (run too lean). Others say that upgrading the injectors will cause me to loose HP as opposed to gain . (run too rich)
Also will I have to upgrade/mod the intake elbow going to the throttle body in order to fit the larger MAF? Is there a possible larger T-body available?

Current (Engine/drivetrain) upgrades include:
Dinan CAI (no heat shield yet)
Racing dynamics eprom/ 413 ECU
Scorp. Cat-back
Centerforce stg 2 clutch w/ light weight Flywheel
Rouge Eng. Short shifter
Fluidyne Radiator
Bav auto high flow water pump
stock ign. coils on E3 plugs

Thank you;
Jake
