1998 M3 window question
Hey for my '98 E36 M3 coupe dd, should I be able to use the "convenience" window and sunroof close feature from the passenger side outside door lock with the key? It works from the driver side but not from the passenger. The O/M implies that it should work from the passenger side, but it does not say that for sure. The passenger side power lock functions normally otherwise.
If indeed it is supposed to work from there, what is the probable culprit? Is there a switch in that assembly that can be replaced? BTW this is my first BMW question on this great forum. Thanks PP! http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...o/IMG_8941.jpg |
I think it only works on the drivers side on mine as well, but it has been a while since I tried it.

Ok thanks. If maybe you could try yours for me the next time you have a chance that would be swell. The boys at BMW Seattle (adjacent to my motorcycle sales shop) say it only works on the driver's side but get this. I was geeking out and listening to the product info cassette tape that came with my car when new. The very friendly female narrator informed me it should work from both sides so now I am completely confused, heh :) |
