fuel and temp gauge flicker
I have read reasons for both gauges to have these flicker problems but I am hoping that they are both being caused by the same thing. They both flicker intermittently. I can tap on the clear gauge cover and they bounce around. Do you think its the battery on the cluster or something else? Or not related to each other?

I took the cluster out and the batteries are checking out ok. Is it possible that the board is bad or the entire cluster needs replaced? I hope its not the whole thing, I would like to keep the mileage and everything original.
Oh, while I was taking it apart, I have a single white wire hanging there and I dont know where to put it back. The end if it was stripped back, so it was shoved somewhere...............Thanks

I had a problem with my temperature gauge that was caused by a loose ground connection. I ran another ground from one of the brass screws in the back of the instruments to a bolt that ran into the chassis below the instruments and it fixed the problem.
