Rebuilt Steering Racks
FYI I found a great source for cheap rebuilt power steering racks. I found this guy on EBAY but has his own website. $185 delivered AND he kicked me back $65 for a core charge when I sent my old one back to him. He did a pretty good job the rack is tight and clean with all new seals and boots. His info is:
Website: http://shop.rackdoctor.net Email: therackdoctor@yahoo.com Phone: 843-344-7494 Just passing it along. It seems like worn out steering racks are a point of heartbreak in the BMW E30 world. |

Wow!
That is the best price I have seen. Does the rebuilt steering rack include tie rods and steering rack boots? |

It doesn't include tie rod ends but yes the rods and boots. Makes replacement pretty simple.

I bought the steering rack from Rack Doctor. Rich is a GREAT guy. the price for a Remanufactured "ZF" rack and shipping was $235 (THIS INCLUDED THE $75 CORE CHARGE)...Which I have my old rack boxed up and ready to ship back for the core charge to be returned. It took me 3.5 hours to start and finsh project. I need to get the front end alined now.
Thanks for the great tip. Recommend the Rack Doctor to all! Bavaria911
