cam timing without tool
Hi... I have a 1994 325is. I'm replacing head gasket by myself. I'm using a 101projects manual. however i didnt buy special tools and i'm stuck at timing cams. what are my options? also can i just turn cylinders 1 and 6 to tdc and place head back on. then reinstall sprockets and chain? Will I have timing issues after complete installation...ps...thank you for your time.

You need to put the engine at TDC, and then install the cams using the alignment tool in order to make sure they are properly timed. Buy the tool and then sell it on eBay when you're done to recover your cost. But, you need the tool, otherwise, you can seriously damage your engine.
