1997 328IS Radio

I changed battery now radio does not work no power can not enter radio code can any one help what do I do?

Was the display illuminating properly before the battery change? If it just looks dead because the display is failing, you can read the display by reflecting a light off it so you can see the shadow in the LCD. See if it is trying to display "code".

If just the display fails, you usually just have to resolder the surface mount resistors in the circuit board that have cracked loose. The bulbs rarely fail.

If the radio is really dead, and the fuse is good, was the key on when you replaced the battery? A spark might have zapped it.

Thanks I now see "code wait" on the display I think I hit a incorrect # when I was putting in the code hope radio is not toast just because of that
