loud sound please help

94 318is
loud humming at certain rpms on DECELL i can hear it very very faint on acc. its a loud humming rattle . very very loud lose something? i was thinking flex disk but thats only on accl correct?

i just replaced entire motor and had a new flywheel/clutch/pilot/throwout. put in by a shop.

its an aftermarket lightweight flywheel

i just got my car working then this loud noise!!!

usauly dosnt start till 3d gear 3.5k decell or 4th gear 5th does it around 75mph decell.

HELP

Its your lightweight flywheel. The noise is normal and wont hurt anything.

You can try the thicker gearbox oil but it doenst work very well and it may make shifting in the winter more difficult.

noise on decell in higher speeds rpms 3d gear around 35 mph decell 4thgear around 45 mph decell and 65 70 decell in 5th. i just replaced the guibo today with no change

The deceleration noises you hear are also caused by the lightweight flywheel. The problem isnt that its lightweight but rather because there is no vibration dampening as ther eis in the stock Dual mass fly.

I have the same effect. When decelerating there are resonance points which have a very noticeable noise and vibration.

Did you have stock motor and tranny mounts?

new oem motor mounts and original tranny mounts.

and its an unsprung clutch
