idle
so my car runs great but sometimes ONLY on idle the rpms will drop a tad bit and stumble car never dies or wants 2. and it will throw an engine light then after a few seconds it will go away. i need to get my car smoged and need this fixed. it never throws a code when im gassing or abov e idle

I would start by checking all vacume hoses for leaks, check for a dirty air filter, and clean the idle air control valve, and clean the throttle body with a stiff toothbrush and carb spray. You'll probably have to have someone hold the throttle wide open for you while you brush all around the inside of the bore of the throttle body. ( engine off of course.) Good luck.
