E30 no start after cambelt change
Hi,
I picked up an '90 325i that had been parked up for a couple of years. Diagnosed and changed dead fuel pump and away it went on 2 year old gas. Car is worth restoring so changed cambelt and tensioner and fuel filter but now no start - fuse 11 blown and new 2nd hand pump is dead. Changed pump again and now car just pops away at the exhaust without starting. Have checked CPS and blue green temp sensor and both ok. Have swapped CPS into another e30 and runs fine. Have checked for spark and all good. Have jumpered fuel pump and can be heard running. Do not have gauge to check actual pressure but think its ok. New plugs, I am now thinking FPR..... Any suugestions would be appreciated. And yes i have double checked the cam timing. ![]() |
