Belt squeal 95 m3
I noticed a belt squeal so I decided to replace the pulleys and tensioners. The noise went away for a week or so but came back. I then put a new belt on and the noise went away again for about a week but then it came back again. I installed the tensioner the right way (not upside down). What is the deal?
I have noticed that if I pour a little water on the belt while the engine is running that the squeal will go away for a minute. |

we have a 95 325i, had it since 95 and have the same problem, started this year. I have replaced belts not tensioners. Mine start making noise when car has been ran for a while. Mine will not make the noise if the temperature is in the 40's or below. Have you noticed if yours does the same? I have been trying to figure this out since it started and can not figure this out. If you or anyone has any information on what this could possibly be, please let me know before I have to go to the dealership. If I find a solution I will sure let you know. It is driving me crazy.
