Power Brake Fluid Flush

posted earlier about barely any fluid out of rear (new) calipers and very dark.
Mechanic suggest a Power Brake Fluid Flush for $115
Is this the same thing I can do myself with a power bleeder? or would I just be replacing the fluid and not truly flushing the lines? Nobody seems to think replacing the hoses is necessary.
He also insists DOT4 required?

A brake fluid flush is easy with a power bleeder. So easy, it's actually fun. You find yourself bleeding your brakes because you're bored (OK, maybe not, but almost). And yes, flushing = replacing.

DOT 4 is pretty much the standard fluid these days. Most car guys like ATE Super Blue fluid because the blue color makes it easy to tell when the old fluid is out and the fresh (blue) fluid is in.

A power bleeder will run you about $60 (unless you build one yourself) and a quart of fluid about $15, maybe less? You can use the power bleeder over and over and the peace of mind you get from being able to bleed your own brakes whenever you want is priceless.

suggestion what to check re low brake fluid pressure?

Thanks for confirming, I've alrady flushed the fluid, that's how I noticed the very low pressure from the rears. I did buy a power bleeder, so might run thru another liter to clean up further, still was coming out dark, but vastly better already.

Anybody have suggestons on what to check next?

Car brakes just fine, but can't be right to have such low brake fluid coming out the rear calipers, can it?
Is it normal to just barely dribble out of the hose when bleeding with your buddy's foot pushing down hard on the pedal?
I like the "if it aint broke dont fix it" since it does brake fine, but something can't be right, and worry something else is compensating for it and will eventually be the next thing to fix.
