E36 Drivetrain Noise
When idle the car rattles; especially when the AC is on. I bought a new flex disc, but the old one looks okay... any ideas?

Nah, but seriously. The whole car is rattling? What sort of condition are the engine/transmission mounts in? If you said it "vibrates" that could be the issue. But "rattles" are usually based on sound. Is it from the engine? Are the catalytic converters rattling like there's rocks in them? If the compressor isn't properly lubricated this would cause a huge vibration with the amount of stress it creates as it's about to seize. Explain a little more. |

do you have the stock clutch system in the car or a lightweight flywheel and aftermarket kit in there? does it sound like its coming from the tranny? gear rattle?
if your cars completely stock and it just showed up one day then im guessing motor mounts or transmission mounts like the guy above me said, we need some more info |
