E36 M52B20 to M52B28 swap

[Bimmer 320i]

Hi, all! I have an E36 1996 320i sedan with A5S 310Z auto trans and a M52B20 engine.

I been searching for information but I can't find anything relevant, but the questions are:

1. Can I swap the engine from a M52 B20 to a M52 B28?
or
2. Can I install the cylinder head of my M52 B20 to a block of a M52 B28?

Assuming the M52 B28 are from 96-98 models.

Can these be done just "plug and play"?
