E30 Turn signal works but parking light doesn't. Any ideas?
 

Hi, I just bought a 1987 325is that I'm getting ready for MD state inspection and I've noticed that my front right turn signal works perfectly, but when I turn on the parking lights and/or headlights, the same bulb doesn't light up.

I haven't gotten my hands on a service manual yet (I should get the Bentley one, right?) so I figured someone on the old internet might be able to help. Thanks!

check the bulb..you may have a two filament bulb. Does the rear right light work under turn and park? If so, front bulb, if two filament is bad or a wire/contact issue; though probably not a ground issue.

Hey, thanks. Turned out the parking light contact on the bulb wasn't touching the socket. New bulb fixed it, now I feel kind of silly.
