Swepco is not a synthetic. It is really good for older Porsche transmissions that have an unusual synchronizer design. I would not use it for a BMW. I use in my M3, the BMW MTF-LT-2 because that is what the sticker says. In my 325iX, I use Redline MTL. For differentials, I use Mobil 1 75W-90 gear oil.

Check the side of your transmission to see if it says what to use.
