87 325i Loss of Power

I purchased a 87 325i with 74000 miles. The car had sat in a garage for 3-4 years and was started every other month or so. I drove the car for about 800 miles without a glitch. Then it would lose power under heavy load such as when merging or starting out with heavy acceleration. The car wont quit running it just loses power and I have to pull over. It idles fine and when I hold the accelerator down it is fine. Now I can start the car and drive anywhere from 1-3 miles and then it will just lose power and I have to pull over. If I let it sit a bit I can drive it about the same amount and it will just do the same thing.

I have replaced the fuel filter 3 times and the one I took off initially definitely was dirty. Now it is clean. I have replaced the spark plugs, timing belt and tensioner, air cleaner, oil and filter and head bolts. I have had the fuel psi checked and was told it is good. I have also replaced the alternator. Checked for cracked lines and or vacuum leaks by spraying starter fluid around lines and seals.

I am planning on pulling the injectors and cleaning them out this weekend. Really stuck on this one and could use some advice. The car is in excellent shape and has been garage kept forever. Really don't want to give up on it but am frustrated.

Pulled and cleaned injectors and same old same old. Few miles of driving and still it loses power but won't die. Just jugs along or idles fine.
