Hi, I have a BMW 1998 323i convertible the top wont open can you please tell me what steps to do to check why it doesn't open thanks for your time and help.

There are a few things that can go wrong with the convertible roof. Firstly, you must make sure that your switches are all operating properly. The one switch that was an issue with my car was the trunk switch. If the car thinks the trunk is open, then it won't lower the roof.
