How do I check to see if I am getting power to the sunroof switch. Can I pop the switch off somehow without removeing the cassette?

Sure, you should be able to pop the switch off. However, the switch controls the relays that control the roof, so you might want to check the relays first before messing with the switch itself. Some of the relays are the same, so you can swap them from a working component to see if the problem is with the relay itself.
