Reset check engine light?

To make a long story short, my oxygen sensor got unplugged, and the check engine light came on. I re-secured the connector, but how to I reset the check engine light. I've already checked the code using the pedal method (1221, Oxy. sensor code), but how do I reset the light? Help is greatly appreciated.

'92 BMW 325i sedan, 2.5L I6.

Oh, and I should add. It just keeps flashing the code, 1221, again and again. Never flashes the 1000 (no more codes stored).

If you got a radio code try disconnecting the battery. This is old OB1 System so it might work. Don't forget the radio code unless you have an aftermarket radio,
