hi, i have a 96 328i that I'm currently working on, and i used the fault code reader and it gave me the number for the Crankshaft Position Sensor so i go to replace it and first thing i do is pull the radiator hose on the left so i can see the sensor and its not there. i have the sensor in now but i don't know were it plugs in because i couldn't fallow the route of the old one. could i get a picture of were it plugs in please.

Unfortunately, the plug is located way the heck down under the intake manifold. I have pics in my head gasket article here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/101-Projects-17-Head-Gasket/101-Projects-17-Head-Gasket.htm of all the parts under the manifold. You can squeeze your hand in there, but it's pretty difficult to reach the actual connector. At least that is how it is on the early 325s, I think it's the same on the later models.
