I have a 1990 325i convertible, the seats are manual, no power. On the passenger seat it will not move forward or backward. It has a sliding button or lever that operates the seat. When I move it, it feels like nothing is attached to it.
Any ideas how I can repair this? Thanks __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: Pelican Technical Article: BMW Power Seat Repair |

I haven't taken one of those seats apart in the past, but it sounds like a broken lever. You'll have to take the seat out of the car and put it on a workbench to disassemble it and see what the issue is. If you can't get it out of the car, you should be able to reach down under the seat and manually lift the lever with your hand.
