really slow convertible top e36 1997

I have a 97 vert with really low miles. the top is in pretty good shape but I have had some issues with it. Recently I just had some work done on it, the bowden cables replaced, the front drive cables for the fully auto top, new aftermarket window, tension straps tightened and a new string kit for the headliner, new shocks for the tonneau. The top is going really slow up and down, worse back up and has caught up a couple times where I have to back it down and back up to close it. I have had the upholstery shop look at it and they don't know what it is. Could it be a microswitch since they replaced the bowden cables? Where it hangs up is the last bow that closes to the windshield and I think that is connected to the microswitch that is behind the left side bowden cable. Also wondered if something might need to be adjusted? I am worried that something will go drastically wrong if it does not get fixed correctly.
thanks
