engine ground strap
where is the exact location of the ground straps on a 1993 bmw e36, photo or link would be great, thank you

There is one on the steering column.
The main one is in the trunk. one on the front of the engine at the lifting eye. Two on the ignition coils. and some I don't remember.

The engine-to-chassis ground strap wraps around the exhaust side engine mount.
The ground that corroded and caused me grief is beneath the computer connector on the exhaust side inner fender. It was weird because nothing else in my engine compartment is corroded at all, and that ground connection was corroded like an old battery terminal. |
