The only trick I can recommend is using a floor jack under the engine, or even supporting it with a larger transmission jack. That will give you some wiggle room, if I understand the question correctly.

Our engine mounts had complete sheared and the engine was shifted over against the frame.
We used a crowbar with a block of wood in the engine compartment while another fitted the engine mount along with a floor jack lifting the engine. |
