Handling problem e3o 325i

Hi. I own a bmw e30 325i convertible. It is on a Q reg. Originally was a K reg.
I recently had the car serviced and and the mechanic replaced a lot of things on the car. It now sounds much better and seems more powerfull. However, I took it for a good test drive. As i changed from 4th to 5th suddenly the back end went unstable, I took my foot off accelerator and managed to regain control. I was quite shocked actually because it never use to do this. Mind you I was giving it some welly. Any feedback would be very helpfull. Thanks.
