How about changing the clock light on a '96 318i convertible? It is on the lower console panel along with the outside air temp gauge. If I can get the panel off...

I have a '95 318is, and I did it a little different, I had to slip a thin piece of metal in at the top and bottom of the console and slide it along to release the tabs that hold in the console. It took some coaxing to get it out. I helped push it out thru the access hole that is directly underneath the console (on the roof of the storage container).
