Non Functioning Odometer

1990 325Ic and the odometer has quit working. I assume (always dangerous) that this is a gear drive issue, Correct? And yes I have a Bentley but have been to LAZY to open it.

You must not have read anywhere that all e30s odometer gears break. $100 or so gets you a new set of plastic gears if you want to fix it yourself. Not too difficult but you can't be lazy.

I did research (after posting) and agree that the gears are probably shot. Odometer.com has the set for $65.00 US and a mild tutorial on replacement. I found a great post over at Bimmerwerkz with pictures (in color) and text on how to. So, off to cluster removal.
