Info needed on BMW Car Batterys, for powerful audio systems
I have a 1989 BMW 325i. I plan on getting a pretty powerful stereo system for my car soon, and i was wondering what was the best battery out there for BMW's that gives you protection from battery drainage when you have a powerful stereo system.
I've researched the Optima yellow battery and it seems like it will meet my needs, but their batteries are not fit for the OEM spot, and will not drop right in, and they said that i might have to make some modifications to the OEM spot in order for me to have a secure fit. Does anybody know of a European sized battery for audio needs that will fit in the OEM spot securely? I will greatly appreciate any help that can be provided, if anybody has any advice, or a solution to my problem, please send me an email at, Ant21c@aol.com. Thanks in Advance |

I wouldn't worry about the battery too much, I only have troubles when I use my alarm, I've heard of fared capacitators, i think thats what they're called, they store power so that should make up for the battery

If battery and charging system are good, including like new cables and connectors then the battery won't be an issue. A capacitor designed for autosound will help the performance of a power hungry amp but the juice still has to come from alternator to battery.
