i can only open and lock my bmw 328i 1996 convertable fromthe boot the key wont even turn in both front doors please could someone help

If you look at the article here, you will see that there is a plastic piece that connects the door lock mechanism to the actual key and door lock. These plastic pieces have a tendency to break. Replacing them is relatively straightforward, but you need to remove the door panel and get in there to reach them.

I know its old thread, but
Wayne, will that cause the key to not even turn in the lock??? it feels like my key doesn't even match the lock..it won't budge....'96 328i
