1997 328i Vanos Problems
Hi all, if this is some sort of repost or I'm in the wrong section, please feel free to tell me where to go.
I have a 1997 328i that needs the vanos cleaned, the solenoid replaced, or the whole unit replaced. I don't know where to begin. I am looking for any advice, links, or whatever you have. Thanks! |

What makes you think the VANOS is bad?
Do you hear marbles in the front of the engine? Do you know what VANOS is? "There is a website called "DrVanos" If it is the vanos its a big probelm requiiring five hours labor. If you hear rattling it could a worn out timing chain tensioner ( a much easier fix) |
