Lost keys on 1992 325....help!
 

My son owns a 92 325I. He called me this evening and said he lost his keys and wants to know how to get a replacement. From searching a bit it looks like it could be a bit complex. Any help would obviously be helpful... :-)

This may not be the cheapest option, but I would think that given the car's VIN number, a typical BMW dealership should be able to make you a replacement key.

I lost the key for my 91 318is e30. I took the registration and ID proving ownership to the dealer. They can order and ship you a key but I had them give me the "Key Cut Number" took the number to my locksmith and he did a "Number Cut Key" for me. About $25 and a couple hours running around.
